This physics video tutorial explains how to calculate the normal force at the bottom and at the top of the hill given the speed and radius of the circular hill. This video provides the free body diagram needed to derive the formulas to calculate the normal force at those positions. In addition, this tutorial discusses how to find the minimum speed that a roller coaster must have so passengers don't fall out and the maximum speed an object can travel on top of a hill without losing contact with the surface. The normal force provides the centripetal force in these problems. This video contains plenty of examples and vertical circular motion practice problems.

Examples include the following reactions:
Zn + Ag+ = Zn2+ + Ag
Mg + Fe2+ = Mg2+ + Fe
Al + Cu2+ = Al3+ + Cu
BrO3- + Zn = Br- + Zn2+
Al + ClO- = Al3+ + Cl-
MnO4- + Fe = Fe3+ + Mn2+
Fe + ClO- = Fe(OH)2 + Cl-
I- + ClO3- = I3- + Cl-
CrO4 2- + Mg = Mg(OH)2 + Cr(OH)3
SO3 2- + Ni(OH)3- = Ni + SO4 2-

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into maxwell's equations and electromagnetic waves. Maxwell's 4 equations include gauss' law for electric fields and magnetic fields, Ampere's law for magnetic fields, and Faraday's Law for electric fields. The basic idea is that a magnetic field can be produced from a changing electric field and a changing magnetic field can induce an electric field. This video explains how to calculate the displacement current between the plates of a parallel capacitor using the permittivity of free space and the rate at which the electric flux inside a capacitor changes. The electric flux is the product of the electric field and the area. The displacement current is also equal to the capacitance multiplied by the rate at which the voltage across the capacitor is changing. This video contains practice problems on electromagnetic waves which consist of electric fields and magnetic fields. The electric field is equal to the magnetic field multiplied by the speed of light. This video also describes how to calculate the magnitude of the poynting vector labeled S which has the units of intensity in w/m^2. S represents the energy transfer per unit area per unit time. This video explains how to calculate how much energy can be transferred from electromagnetic radiation. It also explains how to calculate the energy density of electric fields and the energy density of magnetic fields. This video on electromagnetic waves contain plenty of examples and practice problems.

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the parallel plate capacitor. It explains how to calculate the electric charge stored on a capacitor given the capacitance in farads and the voltage across the capacitor. It explains the meaning of the farad in terms of coulombs per volt. In addition, it discusses how to calculate the capacitance, electric charge, and the electric field inside a parallel plate capacitor given the separation distance of the plates and the area. Finally, this video discusses how a capacitor works. it explains how it can store a charge and then release it for later use.
